Since 2021, I’ve taught hundreds of students and noticed two common challenges: struggling to use vocabulary in conversations and textbook grammar falling short in real-life interactions. This led me to create Mandarin Out Loud, offering resources like podcasts, videos, and soon, books, to make learning fun and immersive, helping you speak Mandarin fluently and naturally.

Mandarin accents and vocabulary vary across regions like Taiwan, China, Singapore, and Malaysia. At Mandarin Out Loud, we focus on Taiwanese Mandarin using traditional characters. Learning Taiwanese Mandarin won’t hinder communication with speakers from other regions. Just as British and American English speakers understand each other, mastering any form of Mandarin allows effective communication with Mandarin speakers worldwide.
